BANDIPORA: The Harvest Hitters T20 Cricket Championship was today successfully organized at Adnan Ground, Vattapora Bandipora, by the Bandipore Cricket Initiative in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora and the Municipal Council Bandipora.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local cricket teams and sports enthusiasts, drawing wide appreciation for its unique blend of sports and social responsibility. Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Bandipora, and Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council Bandipora, graced the occasion along with Padma Shri Awardee Faisal Ali Dar, Brand Ambassador of Swachhta Seva.
Faisal Ali Dar interacted with the young players and motivated them to channel their passion for sports toward nation-building, fitness, and cleanliness. He highlighted the importance of maintaining clean surroundings as an extension of personal discipline and teamwork learned through sports.
A notable feature of the championship was a 10-minute cleanliness drive organized before the start of every match, wherein players and volunteers collectively cleaned the venue , reinforcing the message of “Play Clean, Live Clean.”
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Bandipore Cricket Initiative, Faisal Ali Dar, expressed gratitude to the District Administration and Municipal Council Bandipora for their support in organizing the event. He said that such initiatives not only nurture sports talent but also promote the ideals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and community participation among the youth.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge from players and officials alike to promote cleanliness and fitness as integral parts of everyday life, echoing the vision of a cleaner, greener, and healthier Bandipora.
