The Gurez valley is captivating visitors with its stunning scenery and warm hospitality. This hidden gem is attracting tourists and even Bollywood filmmakers, making it a rising star in Kashmir’s tourism scene.

The valley’s natural beauty, breathtaking landscapes, and the friendly welcome by the Kashmiri people are leaving tourists enchanted.

Tourists are flocking to the Gurez Valley of Kashmir, enchanted by its natural beauty and warm hospitality, they are praising the valley’s charm, applauding the breathtaking landscapes and the warm hospitality extended by the people of Kahsmir.

While speaking to media Shreya a female tourist visiting from Rajkot Gujarat was particularly impressed by the stunning scenery and the welcoming nature of the locals.

She said “This place is very beautiful,” she exclaimed, “and the people of Kashmir are very supportive and cooperative.”
She also encourages others to visit Kashmir and experience its beauty for themselves.

Sheya’s experience challenges misconceptions about Kashmir. “Kashmir has turned out to be much different than what we expected,” she revealed. “The people here are incredibly supportive and welcoming, and the tourism industry is thriving.”

Sheya’s message to others is clear: come and experience Kashmir’s natural splendor for yourselves. “This place is breathtakingly beautiful,” she enthused. “A visit to Kashmir is a must-do in one’s lifetime.”

Sumith from Rajkot Gujarat another first-time visitor to Kashmir, echoed Shreya’s sentiments. He praised the friendliness of the locals and the enjoyable experience he had during his visit. “We should visit Kashmir,” he said, “you will enjoy a lot there.”
He recommends a trip to Kashmir, assuring a memorable time for visitors.

Local residents of Gurez celebrate this positive shift, crediting the Indian Army, local communities, and the government for boosting tourism in the region.

However, they emphasize the need for a dedicated development authority to further improve Gurez’s infrastructure. It would ensure the valley’s sustainable growth and cater to the increasing number of visitors.

The rising popularity of Gurez Valley highlights Kashmir’s potential as a well-rounded tourist destination, showcasing not only its scenic beauty but also its rich cultural heritage and warm people, offering stunning scenery, rich cultural heritage, and friendly people.

Last year’s connection of Gurez Valley to the electricity grid marked a significant milestone, bringing much-needed relief to the locals. Previously, they relied on diesel generators for electricity, which was limited and unreliable.
The grid connection ensures a more stable and sufficient power supply, which is crucial for the valley’s development, including tourism.
