Today, on 23rd October 2025, Bazm-e-Shero-Adab Shumali Kashmir, in collaboration with Government Degree College Hadipora, Rafiabad, organized a grand Mushaira (poetic symposium).
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, performed by Mr. G.M. Zahid, followed by a soulful Naat presented by Mr. Razaq Jahami.
Afterward, the presidential session was formally constituted. Mr. Fayaz Telgami presided over the session, while Mr. Rasheed Kanspuri, Mr. Maqbool Firozi, and Mr. Abdul Khaliq Shams also graced the dais.
The Principal of the College, Professor Dr. Shameem Ahmad Dar, was the Chief Guest, and Dr. Zahoor Makhdoomi attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
The Mushaira was conducted in a lively and eloquent manner by Mr. Tariq Ahmad Tariq. The college auditorium was filled with a large gathering of literature enthusiasts, including students, teachers, and poets.
Mr. Basheer Mangwalpuri, Mr. Yousuf Sameem, Mr. Tariq Ahmad Tariq, Mr. Hasan Azhar, Mr. Rasheed Johar, Mr. Hasan Darwaish, Mr. Johar Ramzan, Mr. Majrooh Kashmiri, Mr. Riyaz Parwana, Mr. Showkat Hashmi, Mr. G.M. Zahid, Mr. Gulla Mir, Mr. Razaq Jahami, Mr. Mohammad Saeed Masoodi, and Jundub Tanha Mushtaq.
Finally, the poets seated in the presidential panel — Mr. Abdul Khaliq Shams, Mr. Maqbool Firozi, Mr. Rasheed Kanspuri, and Mr. Fayaz Telgami — presented their poetry, marking a graceful conclusion to the literary session.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Professor Tariq Ahmad, a faculty member of the college. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Yousuf Sameem, President of Bazm-e-Shero-Adab Shumali Kashmir, as well as to all distinguished guests and participants.
With this, the captivating literary gathering concluded successfully and memorably.
