Budgam: In continuation of the ongoing enrollment drive, a grand event was organized on Saturday at Government Middle School Hardapanzo under Educational Zone Hardapanzo. The programme was held in collaboration with the J&K Teachers Association Budgam, Zone Hardapanzo, and witnessed the participation of several senior officials, including Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Naseer Ahmad Wani, Joint Director SCERT Kashmir Syed Shabir, Deputy CEO Budgam, ZEO Hardapanzo, DIET faculty members, and the planning and resource team.
The visiting officers were warmly welcomed by the school staff and resource persons, who presented a detailed overview of the achievements made under the ongoing enrollment initiative. Notably, a significant number of new children have been enrolled across government schools in the zone, reflecting the positive response from the community.
Director Education Kashmir Naseer Ahmad Wani expressed satisfaction over the rising trend of parents shifting their children from private to government institutions. He described the development as a strong indicator of renewed public confidence in government schooling.
“It is highly encouraging to see dozens of parents bringing their children from private schools to government schools. This reflects the growing trust in the quality of education and the improved facilities available in our institutions,” he said during his visit to Government Middle School Hardapanzo.
Wani affirmed the department’s commitment to meeting public expectations and urged teachers to maintain high standards of teaching and responsibility. “It is our duty to provide the best education to our children,” he emphasized.
He attributed the rise in enrollment to the School Education Department’s ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure, enhance teaching quality, and strengthen monitoring mechanisms across government schools in Kashmir.
