Srinagar: The family of a 21-year-old youth, whose dead body was found in the Baribrahmana area of Jammu yesterday, has urged the police to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and deliver justice to them.
The deceased has been identified as Sahil Kumar, son of Muzafar Kumar, originally a resident of Kral Chek Kellar in South Kashmir’s Shopian district. Sahil had been living with his mother at Sadpora Eidgah in Srinagar before he went missing last week.
Following his disappearance, the family had filed a missing report at the local police station.
On Tuesday, police located Sahil’s body in a secluded area of Jammu, raising concerns among the family about the nature of his death.
The grieving relatives questioned how Sahil reached Jammu, what he was doing there, and the circumstances that led to his death. They strongly suspect foul play, given the remote location where his body was found.
The family has appealed to the police to investigate the matter and ensure a probe to uncover the truth. (CNS)
