Later MP Baramulla Er Rashid visited NHPC Uri where he engaged with casual laborers and the NHPC Union, addressing long-standing issues regarding regularization. Er Rashid followed this by meeting senior NHPC officials to ensure the workers’ concerns were adequately addressed.

MP Er Rashid also visited Government Degree College Uri, where he interacted with the faculty and students. Er Rashid promised to address the pressing issues of staff shortages and infrastructure gaps. To ease student transportation issues, he announced a mini bus for the college from his MP fund.

MP Baramulla Er Rashid chaired a key meeting with Chief Engineer PHE and officials of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, where they reviewed the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). Er Rashid highlighted the need for completing pending projects, filtration plants and improving water supply infrastructure.

Later, Er Rashid visited Sumbal Sonawari constituency along with the Chief Engineer and senior officers of the PHE. He inspected the Filtration Plant in Nowgam Sumbal, which has remained incomplete for several years, setting a firm deadline for completion by November. He also addressed the issue of the defunct rising main in Sumbal town, sanctioning ₹11 lakh from his MPLAD fund for immediate repairs.

In the evening, Er Rashid convened a high-level meeting at the Civil Secretariat with the Principal Secretary of the Power Development Department, which was attended by the MD of KPDCL and Chief Engineers. The discussions focused on addressing power outages and improving infrastructure in North Kashmir.

Er Rashid emphasized the urgent need for minimized power bills for BPL families, stressing that their consumption cannot be compared to that of normal households. He urged the department to take immediate measures to ease the burden on underprivileged families, ensuring that their needs are met without imposing undue financial strain.
