Sopore: Sopore witnessed a memorable moment blending education and sports when a thrilling cricket match was organized between Valley Public School and the Sopore Media Association under the supervision of the school’s Chairman, Junaid Sahib. The event aimed not only to encourage students and youth towards sports but also to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote the importance of healthy activities.
The match was marked by enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and teamwork, as players from both sides displayed a true spirit of fair play and competition. Speaking on the occasion, Sopore Media Association President Shabir Khan emphasized that promoting positive habits among children through sports and spreading awareness against drug abuse is the need of the hour. He added that combining education with sports is vital for the physical and mental development of young people.
The initiative by the Sopore Media Association was held under the theme “Say Yes to Sports, No to Drugs”, aimed at motivating the youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay away from harmful habits.
