Bandipora: The District Administration Bandipora has issued a weather advisory in view of the forecast by the Meteorological Department about an active western disturbance likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir, including Bandipora district, from October 4 to 7, 2025.
As per the forecast, moderate to heavy snowfall is expected over the higher reaches including Razdan Pass and adjoining areas, while light snowfall may occur over middle reaches. The plains of Bandipora are likely to receive moderate rainfall during the period. The weather system may also bring thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm and strong winds (40–50 kmph gusting up to 60–70 kmph).
The Administration has cautioned that the weather activity may lead to disruption of surface transport, particularly on the Bandipora–Razdan Pass–Gurez road and other higher reaches. There is also a possibility of landslides, mudslides, shooting stones and rise in water levels of local str
