Srinagar: The team of Member of Parliament (Srinagar), Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, has issued a public notice clarifying that any use of his photographs, videos, or related media content in connection with the ongoing Budgam By-Election is completely unauthorized and misleading.
In a statement, the team said that Aga Ruhullah Mehdi is not a candidate in the Budgam By-Election and has no role in any ongoing campaign activities. “Any use of his images, videos, or name in political promotions may cause public misunderstanding and amounts to misrepresentation of his stance,” the notice reads.
The team emphasized that such unauthorized use violates the principles of fairness and transparency expected during the democratic process. “We urge all political parties, campaign groups, and social media users to immediately refrain from associating his name, image, or voice with any election-related content,” the statement added.
It further warned that any continued misuse of Aga Ruhullah Mehdi’s identity in campaign material would invite legal and disciplinary action as permissible under law.
The notice concluded with an appeal for maintaining clarity, respect, and responsibility in political communication during the election period. [KNT]
