Ahmedabad: The city’s emerging ISSF shooter, Fatin Naeem Tirmizi, has once again captured everyone’s attention with his outstanding performance. His remarkable success at the 45th Gujarat State Shotgun Shooting Championship stands as clear evidence of his bright future in the field of sports.
Fatin secured a silver medal in Double Trap Shotgun Shooting (ISSF Men’s Category) and a bronze medal in Trap Shotgun Shooting (ISSF Men’s Team Category), proving his exceptional skill and dedication.
This prestigious championship was organized by the Gujarat State Rifle Association (GSRA) at Crown Shooting and Sports Academy, Gandhinagar, where Fatin’s performance greatly impressed sports enthusiasts.
Just a few days earlier, Fatin Tirmizi had also won three medals (gold, silver, and bronze) at the district level, earning a place in newspaper headlines. Since last year, his journey of success has continued consistently. His progress is not only the result of his personal hard work but also a matter of pride for the shooting community of Ahmedabad.
On this occasion of success, a beautiful and meaningful verse by Allama Muhammad Iqbal comes to mind:
“Nahin hai na-umeed Iqbal apni kasht-e-veeran se,
Meaning: Iqbal is not hopeless about his barren land; if it receives a little moisture, this soil can become very fertile.
And for determination and perseverance, another fitting couplet of Iqbal:
“Parwaz hai dono ki isi ek faza mein,
Kargas ka jahan aur hai, shaheen ka jahan aur.”
Meaning: Both fly in the same sky, but the vulture lives in a different world, while the falcon belongs to a higher, nobler realm.
Fatin Naeem Tirmizi’s shining journey is truly an inspiration for the younger generation, and his achievements promise even greater victories in the future.
