Bandipora, December 05: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the preparations for forthcoming Armed Forces Flag Day celebrations.
Highlighting the importance of the day, the DC said that Armed Forces Flag Day provides the citizens an opportunity to show their gratitude to the Armed Forces.
He asked officers to ensure contribution towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, adding that this contribution towards the fund is acknowledgment of the services rendered by the armed forces towards the nation.
Dr Owais Ahmad also directed the officers to ensure participation on 07th December in Armed Forces Flag Day celebrations.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora, DySP Bandipora Shafaat Najar, Zilla Sanik Welfare Officer Bandipora/Baramulla, officers from various departments like Education, Health, and among others.
