Jammu, August 7: Four former legislators and a DDC member are all set to join the Congress party today in New Delhi.
These leaders include two former MLAs Haji Abdul Rashid and Yashpal Kundal and two former MLCs Naresh Gupta and Sham Lal Bhagat. One DDC member from Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony is among the new entrants.
Rashid, Gupta and Bhagat had left the Congress party earlier and joined Ghulam Nabi Azad’s DPAP whereas Kundal is coming from Aam Aadmi Party. He was earlier part of national panthers party. Tony was also in the Congress party earlier but parted ways due to some issues. Before joining Congress, he was a member of NC.
These joining are set to give boost to Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir and it is a big achievement for PCC president Bikar Rasool Wani.
