Srinagar, June 23: Indian Army today foiled a major infiltration bid on Line of Control (LoC) in Machil sector of Kupwara district and killed four militants.
With this action, Army has given a huge dent to the design of the Pakistani Army who try to push militants and keep the pot boiling.
Giving details, police said that acting on a specific input, Army and police launched a joint operation and detected the movement of militants coming from across LoC. “After challenging the infiltrators, militants fired upon security forces and in retaliation four militants were killed. The search operation is still on to trace presence of more militants whereas dead bodies of infiltrators were recovered,” said a police officer.
During the search operations, huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of militants.
