The initiative aims to spread awareness among the general public regarding traffic laws, provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, and the importance of road safety regulations.

As part of the programme, a traffic awareness rally was organized from Munsiff Court Magam to Boys Higher Secondary School Magam and was flagged off by Rabyia Snober Gulzar.

Teachers, students, Traffic Police officials, staff members of TLSC Magam, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs), and members of the local community actively participated in the rally. Participants carried placards, banners, and pamphlets displaying various traffic awareness slogans related to road safety and the Motor Vehicles Act.

During the awareness drive, traffic was temporarily halted at various locations while commuters and pedestrians were sensitized about the importance of obeying traffic regulations, wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding over-speeding, refraining from the use of mobile phones while driving, and strictly following road safety norms.

Outside Boys Higher Secondary School Magam, several awareness activities were conducted by students, teachers, Traffic Police officials, and TLSC staff members. These activities included live demonstrations, slogan chanting, pamphlet distribution, and public interaction programmes highlighting safe driving practices and road safety measures.

Mr. Owais from Boys Higher Secondary School Magam delivered an awareness lecture emphasizing the need for strict adherence to traffic laws for the protection of human life and public safety.

Traffic Police officials also interacted with students and members of the public, urging them to become responsible road users and spread awareness about safe driving practices within society.

The awareness programme will continue till May 23 with various activities aimed at promoting responsible driving habits and enhancing road safety awareness among students and the general public.
