Baramulla: A man was killed and another injured in a road accident in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told that a collision took place between a truck and a Maruti Eeco at Hyderbeigh Pattan, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another.
He said one of the victims, identified as Rayees Ahmad Najar, son of Ghulam Nabi Najar, a resident of Hygam, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Another, Javid Ahmad Najar, who sustained serious injuries in the mishap, was shifted to JVC Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.—(KNO)
