Spokesperson for the Khatam-al-Anbiya Central Headquarters:
Following previous agreements reached in negotiations conducted in good faith, the Islamic Republic of Iran agreed to the managed passage of a limited number of commercial oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. However, unfortunately, the Americans—consistent with their history of repeated breaches of promise—continue their banditry and maritime piracy under the guise of a so-called blockade.
For this reason, control of the Strait of Hormuz has reverted to its previous state, and this strategic strait remains under the management and strict control of the Armed Forces.
Until the United States ceases its interference with the complete freedom of movement for vessels traveling to and from Iranian origins and destinations, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will remain under intense control and in its previous state.
