Need for a Clear Stand in Support of Palestine, Says Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi in Friday Sermon
Budgam: Addressing the Friday congregation at the Central Imambara Budgam, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi, President of the Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, expressed deep concern over the recent visit of the Prime Minister of India to Israel.
He stated that at a time when Gaza is undergoing massive devastation, continuous bombardment, siege, and a severe humanitarian crisis, the Indian leadership should have adopted a clear and unequivocal position against the atrocities inflicted upon the Palestinian people, including the killing of innocent civilians and violations of fundamental human rights.
Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi recalled that India has historically supported Palestine and was among the earliest countries to recognize the State of Palestine. In this context, he said, it was expected that India would raise a principled voice against oppression and aggression.
The Anjuman President described Israeli actions as open aggression and a serious violation of international humanitarian law, calling for an immediate ceasefire, an end to the siege of Gaza, and firm support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.
He further reaffirmed that the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian stands in unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine and urged the international community to take effective measures to protect human lives and ensure lasting peace in the region.
