Beerwah: A Municipal Committee Beerwah (MCB) sweeper lost his life in an accident early Saturday morning after a hopper vehicle overturned near the dumping site at Katarmal in Beerwah, central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The deceased has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Waza, 40, son of Abdul Ahad Waza, a resident of Beerwah town. According to eyewitnesses and official sources, the hopper vehicle reportedly skidded off the road before overturning, leading to Waza’s instant death due to the impact.
Medical officials at Sub-District Hospital Beerwah confirmed that Waza was brought in dead.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and stated that further investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the accident. [KNT]
