Srinagar: A fresh weather alert has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, warning of intense rainfall and snowfall activity across the region over the next 24 hours.
According to Kashmir Weather Forecast, a widespread spell of rain and thundershowers is expected to impact most areas, with higher intensity predicted over the Kashmir division.
In the higher reaches, significant snowfall is likely, with accumulations ranging between 6 to 10 inches. Key locations expected to be affected include Sinthan Top, Razdan Top, Zojila Pass, Sadhna Top, and Peer Ki Gali.
The advisory also cautions about gusty winds, intense showers, and the possibility of hailstorms in some parts of the region, which could disrupt normal life and travel.
Residents, particularly those in vulnerable and high-altitude areas, have been urged to remain cautious and follow official advisories as weather conditions may deteriorate rapidly during this period.
