Bandipora: The Handicrafts & Handloom Department Bandipora today organized an Awareness Programme at Aloosa Bandipora.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 artisans and weavers of the district.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the Handicrafts Training Officer Mohammad Ashraf Sofi, followed by detailed presentations by Mir Nizam ul Islam, Handloom Training Officer, Mohammad Ibrahim Gilloo, AHTO, Gulzar Ahmad -Auditor INDUSCOS other departmental officers and officials on various government schemes designed for the welfare and empowerment of artisans.
Guest speakers including Manager JK Bank Aloosa & DIC Officials delivered insightful talks on crucial subjects including marketing, e-commerce, packaging, branding, GI tagging, and the export potential of local crafts. Artisans & Cooperatives among the participants also shared their success stories, inspiring fellow participants. Chairperson of Diya A Dream, NGO also shared her thoughts during the programme.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the event as a significant step towards artisan awareness and promotion of the handicrafts and handloom sector in Bandipora.
