Gurez, 21 June: The Indian Army, along with local residents of Gurez valley area near line of control LOC in Bandipora district celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga with great fervor and enthusiasm on Wednesday, reaffirming its commitment to the physical and mental well-being of its personnel.
To mark the occasion, Army Battalion Bagtore organized a mass session at its High Ground Bagtore near the Line of Control (LOC) in Gurez, in which soldiers and local residents participated actively.
The event was led by senior officers, who emphasized the importance of Yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental toughness, and spiritual balance.
The Army performed various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation exercises, showcasing their discipline and coordination.
Speaking on the occasion, a local resident said that yoga is an integral part of their culture and is good for health. It helps them develop physical and mental toughness.
