Srinagar, March 14: Petrol and diesel prices have seen a welcome dip today, as the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas announced a reduction of Rs 2 per litre. Effective from tomorrow morning at 6 am, this move is expected to ease the burden on consumers and reduce operational expenses for millions of vehicles across the country.
The reduction in fuel prices is anticipated to stimulate consumer spending and alleviate costs for omore than 58 lakh heavy goods vehicles, 6 crore cars, and 27 crore two-wheelers.
This development coincides with the nearing announcement of election notifications by the Election Commission of India for the impending Lok Sabha polls nationwide.
