Kupwara, August 18: Security forces have got a big success when they recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Machil area of Kupwara district.
A joint operation of Army, BSF and J&K Police was in progress since August 15 and got the success today.
In a tweet, Army’s 15 Corps said, “Joint Operation launched by Indian Army, BSF and J&K Police in #Machhal Sector Kupwara from 15-18 August based on Intelligence inputs by various agencies of likely presence of a cache of war like stores.
The cache included five AK Rifles, seven Pistols, four Hand Grenades and other incriminating material.
The operation is still in progress.
