Jammu, June 23: Setting the tone for 2024 general elections, union Home Minister Amit Shah today demanded answer from Abdullahs and Muftis of killing of 42000 people in Jammu and Kashmir.

“I ask Abdullahs and Muftis, as who is responsible for these killings as three families were ruling Jammu and Kashmir all these years,” Shah said during a rally here today.

The union home minister was in Jammu to pay respect to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his sacrifice day which he attributed as base to challenge Article 370.

Further hitting on critics of BJP led NDA government, Amit Shah said that during UPA’s 10 years of rule, 7327 terror activities occurred and 2056 people were killed whereas under nine years of NDA government only 350 terror activities occurred and 377 people have been killed.

“After abrogation of Article 370, things have improved a lot. During these 47 months since August 5, 2019 only 32 calls of strike were given in Kashmir valley and stone throwing incidents have come down by 90 percent. It is the achievement of Modi government,” Amir Shah added.

Commenting on abrogation of Article 370, he said, “After abrogation of Article 370 by Narendra Modi led government, the soul of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee must be in peace.”

The union home minister was all praise for nine years of Modi government and said that not a single corruption charges is there against NDA government. “There were Rs 12 lakh crore corruption charges on UPA government whereas not a single charge against Modi government. Rather Modi has set tone to put an end to corruption in the country.
