Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to defend its sovereignty and national security against what he described as any excessive demands or adventurism.
During diplomatic engagements, Araghchi emphasized that Iran remains committed to protecting its core interests while continuing dialogue through diplomatic channels.
Meanwhile, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi held talks with the Iranian foreign minister earlier in the day. After concluding his second meeting with the Iranian delegation, he proceeded to hold discussions with the US envoy Steve Witkoff.
The series of meetings reflects Oman’s continued role as a mediator, facilitating communication between Iran and the United States in an effort to ease tensions and promote diplomatic understanding.
