Pulwama: Pulwama Police have seized a JCB and two tractors during a routine patrolling operation against illegal mining at Nownagri village and registered a case in the matter.
Police said a JCB bearing registration number JK13J-8922 was found illegally extracting and loading soil into tractors. Two tractors involved in the activity were intercepted and seized on the spot.
Accordingly, FIR No. 115/2025 under Sections 3 of the PPD Act and 303(2) of the BNS has been registered at Police Station Litter, and investigation has been initiated.
Pulwama Police reiterated their commitment to protecting natural resources and warned that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in illegal mining activities. [KNT]
