Bandipora: The Youth Empowerment Organisation (YEO) successfully conducted a placement drive for trained candidates under the IEEMA CSR Initiative, implemented under the supervision of the Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC), at the Skill Development Centre, Sumbal, Bandipora.
Out of 30 candidates who completed the training, 25 were issued offer letters by Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd., marking a significant achievement in employment-linked skill development in the region. The offer letters were formally distributed by Mr. Ayoub Mohiuddin, Head – Operations & Strategic Alliances, YEO, along with Mr. Shair Hussain Mir, Centre Manager, in the presence of trainees and local stakeholders.
Officials from Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd. participated in the ceremony virtually, interacted with the selected candidates, and reaffirmed their commitment to absorbing skilled manpower trained through structured CSR-driven skilling initiatives.
Mr. Irfan Parray, State Head of IEEMA for Jammu & Kashmir, also attended the event virtually and extended his best wishes to the selected candidates. He reiterated IEEMA’s strong commitment to employment generation, particularly in underprivileged and far-flung areas, through industry-led, employment-oriented skill development programmes.
Addressing the media and trainees, Mr. Ayoub Mohiuddin highlighted the pivotal role of IEEMA and the Power Sector Skill Council in facilitating employment-linked skill development for unemployed youth in Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that collaboration between industry, sector skill councils, and grassroots organizations is essential to bridging the gap between training and sustainable employment.
Mr. Mohiuddin expressed his gratitude to IEEMA, the Power Sector Skill Council, and Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd. for providing valuable opportunities to youth in remote areas and for their continued support in strengthening the skilled workforce in the power sector.
The placement drive once again reflects YEO’s commitment to inclusive development, industry collaboration, and the creation of dignified livelihood opportunities for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
