Bandipora: An important and purposeful meeting of the Inder Cultural Forum Sonawari Kashmir was held at Najan Sumbal Sonawari at the residence of the forum’s senior member, Zakir Mohammad Ramzan Mallah. The meeting was presided over by the President and Founder of the Inder Cultural Forum, Mr. Saleem Yousuf Chilkey, and witnessed the participation of a large number of forum members.
During the meeting, detailed and serious deliberations were held on the forum’s ongoing activities, the promotion of literature and culture, and future plans. A special and in-depth discussion took place on the proposal to publish an annual literary magazine under the banner of the Inder Cultural Forum. Members shared their valuable opinions and suggestions on the matter. At the conclusion of the discussion, it was unanimously decided that a quality annual literary magazine would be published, aimed at promoting the literary, cultural, and creative talents of the region.
The meeting also included comprehensive discussions on other important issues, such as strengthening the organizational structure of the forum, organizing literary programs, and developing effective ways to connect the younger generation with literature and culture. Some members, including Gulfam Barji and Shawqeen Sonmi, participated online and shared their suggestions and views.
Members who attended the meeting in person included Taufiq Talib, Ghulam Hassan Hassan, Mir Rafiq, Gulfam Nowgami, Mir Muzamil, Mohammad Ramzan Mallah, and others. All members expressed their firm commitment to making the forum’s activities more effective and impactful.
Immediately after the meeting, a dignified poetic gathering (Mushaira) was also organized, in which the participating poets presented their selected and high-quality poetic compositions. The poetry received warm appreciation from the audience, and the gathering concluded in a pleasant and vibrant literary atmosphere.
The members of the Inder Cultural Forum Sonawari reaffirmed their resolve to continue their efforts with the same dedication and continuity for the promotion of literature and culture in the future.
