Bandipora: As part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, a programme was held today at Dak Bungalow Sumbal under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, Murtaza Ahmad Sheikh (KAS).
The programme witnessed the administration of the Integrity Pledge, followed by a presentation and lecture by the ACB team on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
During the session, the ACB officers emphasized the importance of transparency, ethical conduct, and collective responsibility in preventing corruption within government institutions. They urged all officials to uphold integrity in their official duties and maintain vigilance in day-to-day operations to ensure accountability in service delivery.
Speaking on the occasion, SDM Sumbal highlighted the importance of adhering to financial and administrative discipline and reiterated the district administration’s commitment to promoting a corruption-free work culture. He appreciated the efforts of the ACB for organizing such awareness programmes and encouraged the officers to translate the spirit of vigilance into action at every level of governance.
The event was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sumbal, officers from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Executive Engineers of Electric Division Bandipora and Sumbal, officers and field staff of the Power Development Department (PDD) of Electric Divisions Bandipora and Sumbal.
