Srinagar: Chairman Karwani Islami International, Molana Dr. Ghulam Rasool Hami, on Saturday said that those speaking from religious pulpits should use the platform to promote unity and not spread sectarian hatred.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Dr. Hami said, “The pulpit is not someone’s personal stage. It is meant for guidance, not for creating rifts among people.”
He made it clear that Ahli Sunnat Wal Jamaat will not accept any disrespect towards Suhaba Kiraam or Ahli Bayt. “Our faith is based on love and respect for both. Any attempt to insult them will not be tolerated,” he said.
Dr. Hami said there are some individuals who are deliberately trying to divide the community. “We know who these people are. If they don’t stop, we will share their names with the police and expect action,” he warned.
He added that while differences of opinion may exist, Muslims must stay united. “We need to live with respect for each other. The community needs harmony more than anything else today,” he said.
