Senior politician Ghulam Nabi Azad has been hospitalised midway through an international delegation tour, as confirmed by BJP leader Baijayant Jay Panda in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Panda wrote, “Halfway into our delegation’s tour, Shri @ghulamnazad has had to be admitted to hospital. He is stable, under medical supervision, and will be undergoing some tests and procedures.”
He further added that Azad played a significant role during the meetings held in Bahrain and Kuwait, and expressed disappointment at being unable to continue the journey.
“We will deeply miss his presence in Saudi Arabia and Algeria,” Panda noted.
Azad’s current condition is reported to be stable, and he remains under medical care.
