Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain has been hospitalised in a hospital in the US and is being treated for ‘serious’ health ailments. The update about his health was posted on social media.
According to a report published by PTI, Zakir has been admitted to the ICU. He was hospitalised after experiencing heart-related problems, his friend and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia confirmed to the news agency on Sunday.
One source close to Zakir shared that the 73-year-old US-based musician had been having blood pressure issues.
“He has been admitted to a hospital in San Francisco for a heart-related problem for the last week. He is unwell and admitted in the ICU right now. We all are worried about the situation,” Chaurasia told PTI.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that he had been hospitalised in a hospital in San Francisco hospital and is being treated for ‘serious’ health ailments. At this moment, his family is seeking prayers and blessings from all for his speedy recovery. Any other details about his health condition are not out yet.
