Sopore: In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested one drug peddler and recovered Contraband Substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Warpora headed by IC PP Warpora Insp. Yousuf ul Umar under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS and SHO PS Sopore Insp. Ayaz Gellani, during naka checking at Dangerpora Crossing apprehended one drug peddler namely Showkat Ahmad Dar S/O Habib ullah Dar R/O Reban Sopore.
During the search Police Party was able to recover 140 grams of contraband charas like substance from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 253/2024 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated.
Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
