Ganderbal: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah sent a strong message to the central government today, reiterating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir reject the decision made on August 5, 2019.

Speaking to workers in his Ganderbal constituency, Omar Abdullah emphasized that his government follows procedures and does not backtrack, addressing critics who questioned their conviction for not bringing a resolution on the first day.

Omar Abdullah’s message was clear: the voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir must be heard, and the central government must take notice.

He expressed his desire to raise this voice through the assembly in a way that would force the central government to engage in dialogue. He said the resolution passed reflects the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and demonstrates their unwavering commitment to their cause.

He said that the Assembly resolution showed to the world what people of Jammu and Kashmir want.

Omar Abdullah said that the promises made by his party to the people were also acknowledged by the Lieutenant Governor in his assembly address. This, he believed, underscores the government’s dedication to serving the people for the next five years, ensuring that they reap the benefits of their efforts. [KNT]
